But to what extent have these innovations influenced cinematic language? The <strong>National Museum of Cinema in Turin <\/strong>explored this question with a new exhibition titled <em>\u201c<\/em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.museocinema.it\/it\/news\/9722\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Future of Cinema, the Cinema of the Future<\/a><\/strong><em>\u201d<\/em> hosted until September 7, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As <strong>Domenico De Gaetano<\/strong>, Director of the National Museum of Cinema, explained during the exhibition\u2019s press presentation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-has-quote has-t-4-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>The goal of this exhibition? To engage as much as possible with the Museum\u2019s audience to better understand their expectations for the future<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To achieve this, the Museum collaborated with Synesthesia to create an original project. At the top of the ramp winding around the walls of the Aula del Tempio in the Mole Antonelliana, visitors had the unique opportunity to co-write a cinematic script with <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-5d2f3228 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:65%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-soluzione-adottata\">The solution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-t-4-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#383838;font-style:normal;font-weight:100\">During the development phase, Synesthesia\u2019s Technologies team integrated two AI services: one from <strong>OpenAI<\/strong> to generate the cinematic plot and another using <strong>Stable Diffusion<\/strong> to create the movie poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The solution enables visitors to use a large wall-mounted touchscreen to craft a 3,000-character plot set in the Mole Antonelliana, complete with a custom poster. Visitors begin by selecting the director, characters, and genre.<\/p><br\/><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the experience, users receive their content via email and answer two simple questions: one about their perception of authorship (whether they feel they are the true author of the generated content) and another on whether the result met their expectations.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column col-image is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized is-style-rounded\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.synesthesia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/ai-museo-del-cinema02-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"AI per il Museo Nazionale del Cinema\" class=\"wp-image-19804\" style=\"width:300px;height:undefinedpx\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-5d2f3228 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column col-image is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-style-rounded-border\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.synesthesia.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/ai-museo-del-cinema03-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"Museo Nazionale del Cinema\" class=\"wp-image-19802\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:65%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-risultati-raggiunti\">Results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interactive experience proved to be highly engaging. As <strong>Fabrizio Dividi<\/strong> wrote in <strong>Corriere Torino<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-has-quote has-t-4-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThanks to the technology developed by Synesthesia, every visitor can generate a cinematic plot in just a few minutes, starting with the choice of the director (Tarantino seems to be the most popular), the protagonists, and the genre. The only rule is \u2018unity of place,\u2019 which in this case is the Mole Antonelliana. The result?
